Frequently Asked
Questions
General Questions
What is a "core exchange", and how does it work?
All prices on our website are
quoted with "core exchange", meaning that we will send you a fully
restored bumper or part, and you are responsible for shipping back to us
your old bumper core at your expense. We recommend shipping back your core in the
original packaging the new one came in, and USPS Parcel Post and FEDEX
are the most economical way to ship back the bumpers. Typically,
depending on your distance to our shop, you will spend about $50-90 to
ship your core back.
When purchasing a bumper from
us, we require a core exchange in order to qualify for the price
listed on our website. We don't require it in all cases or we can
charge you for the core if you don't have one, just
email or call us and we'd be happy to work
with you.
What payment
methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and
e-Checks through Paypal to the
payment address info@restorationchrome.com. We also accept money
orders and personal checks (we wait until your check clears before we
ship product).
In order to pay via Paypal, you
will need to have an account setup with them in order to use their
service. Instructions are available on their website for account
creation. You can have an account setup in less than 5 minutes.
Do you offer
a guarantee or warranty on your chrome bumpers?

What plating
process do you use?

nickel chrome plating process. See our
Restoration Process page for
more information.
Do you sell
plastic/ urethane bumpers?
We carry a front and rear bumper
for nearly every automobile, however availability is subject to stock on
hand. All of our bumpers are OEM restored
products, meaning that you can expect the same quality as buying new at
a great value.

Questions
How is my
purchase shipped?
We ship via Fedex ground, insured
for the value of your shipment. We use several layers of bubble wrap
and brown paper, which protects the chrome from most dings and
scratches. Please inspect your items upon delivery and note any damages
that may have happened during shipping. Please contact us for
information on processing insurance claims with Fedex if you note
damage.
How often do
you ship orders?
We generally ship packages once
per week.
How do I
package my bumper to send to you?
Wrap the bumper with cardboard,
a blanket, newspapers, or anything that will provide a protective layer
to help keep it from being scratched or dinged. |
